Happy Father's Day

This weekend, I celebrate Father’s Day and honor my late father, Alvin R. Leonard, Esq., who was my mentor and practiced personal injury law in New Jersey for almost 50 years. I was blessed to be able to work every day with my Dad. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of him and the ideals and values that he stood for. I miss him very much and know that he is watching over me.

This is my first Father’s Day so its especially important to express my love and thoughts about my dad. He was very special and was loved by many. He was kind, generous, brilliant, loving, compassionate, passionate and a man of great character. He always so the good in people and treated everyone with respect and dignity no matter their position was in life. I can recall vividly so many instances of his generosity and humanity. I have great memories of fighting for our clients rights in the courtroom and his dynamic skills. I was so blessed to have a father who was my hero, who never let me down and who exhibited so much courage and strength in the most difficult times.

So for those whose fathers are still with us, never forget how fortunate you are to tell them how important they are to you and the family and how much you love them.
