Hundreds of scooters recalled in the US due to injury complaint
A California-based company recently issued a voluntary recall to hundreds of toy scooters after being notified of an incident that resulted in a personal injury to a child, a December 29 article of cpsc.com reported.
Reports revealed that Glopo Inc. is recalling 520 units of their “Joyrider three-wheeled scooters” due to concerns that their front wheels could fail during use. If the problem occurs, children are at high risk of sustaining fall-related injuries. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has listed the model numbers that are being recalled. The recalling company and CPSC have been notified of an incident involving one of the recalled scooters where a child sustained injuries after a wheel fell off. Glopo Inc. advised consumers to avoid using the toy and coordinate with them to get a repair kit at no cost.
