What workers’ comp benefits can I receive if I’m unable to work or return to work?
If you are unable to work – or return to work – as determined by the workers compensation authorized doctor, you are entitled to temporary total disability benefits (TTD). If you are an injured worker, you are entitled to receive TTD benefits if you are disabled for more than seven days. The amount of TTD benefits paid to an injured worker will depend on their earnings (typically TTD benefits equal 70 percent of the employee’s average weekly wage).
An injured worker will continue to receive TTD benefits throughout the time they are unable to work and under active medical care. If the injured employee goes back to work, the benefits will end.
